Contribution policy
Rashtriya Adhikar Morcha aims to run on small contributions from the public. This page tells you how contributions are taken, what is recorded, and what rights you have.
Last changed: 15 October 2026
1. Contributions are voluntary
- A contribution is entirely your choice. Without it, nothing changes about your membership, any post or any service.
- Nothing — no post, ticket, job, benefit or anything else — is promised in return for a contribution, and asking for one is not allowed.
2. Who may contribute
- Any Indian citizen, and any Indian company or body that is not a government company, a local authority (such as a municipality or panchayat), or a body funded wholly or partly by the Government. (The party follows the rule in section 29B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.)
- A contributor must be 18 or older.
- A company should take its own legal advice on section 182 of the Companies Act, 2013 before contributing, and should write to us first; such a contribution is taken only by bank transfer or cheque, with the company’s CIN and board-resolution details.
- Contributions from foreign sources are not accepted — a foreign government, foreign company, foreign citizen, or money received from abroad (Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010).
- You may not give someone else’s money in your name, or your money in someone else’s name.
- The money must have been lawfully earned.
- The Contribute page asks you to tick a declaration confirming this.
3. How to contribute
Contribute only through the ways shown on this website’s Contribute page:
- online payment (through Razorpay — when it is switched on; cards or payments from outside India are not taken);
- UPI or bank transfer — only the account/UPI written on the Contribute page;
- cheque;
- cash — only up to ₹2,000. Cash above that cannot be accepted.
4. What is recorded
- Name, mobile, amount, method, transaction number and date. Every contribution, cash included, is recorded; none is taken anonymously.
- For a contribution of ₹20,000 or more, PAN and address are also required. This is the party’s own rule: section 29C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 requires registered political parties to report contributions above ₹20,000 to the Election Commission, and the party records these details in that form; such a report may become public.
- If the contributor is a member, the contribution is linked to their account.
- How this information is used is in the Privacy policy.
5. Receipts and verification
- After a contribution is recorded, the treasurer checks it. A receipt number is given after verification.
- The minimum amount is ₹11.
- If you did not get a receipt, or it has a mistake, write to us; we will check and correct it.
6. Income-tax
No income-tax deduction is promised or claimed on this website or in a receipt. Whether you get any tax benefit on a contribution depends on your case and the law in force — please ask your chartered accountant or tax adviser.
7. The contribution ticker
Your name shows on the public ticker only if you have said yes to “show my name” — on the form, or to our office-bearer when giving an offline contribution — and the verified amount is above the set limit. If you have not said yes, your name is not shown anywhere. To have your name taken off the ticker, write to us.
8. Mistakes and refunds
- A contribution is voluntary, so it is not ordinarily refunded.
- If money was taken by mistake — taken twice, a wrong amount, or someone else did it from your account — write to us within 7 days with the transaction number. We will check, and where a mistake is established we will try to return the amount by the same route.
9. What we do not accept
- Contributions from foreign sources.
- Cash above ₹2,000.
- Contributions from a government company, a local authority, or a body funded wholly or partly by the Government.
- A contribution that comes with a condition or a demand for something in return.
- A contribution made in someone else’s name (benami) or in concealment.
- Money whose source is doubtful.
- A contribution from a person under 18.
10. Beware of fraud
- The party never asks you, by phone or message, for an OTP, UPI PIN, password or card number.
- If anyone in the party’s name asks for money in a personal account, or for money in return for a post or ticket — do not pay, and tell us.
- Contribute only through the ways on this website’s Contribute page.
